The lift's drive system also requires no grease or lubricants, ensuring your stairway carpet or flooring remains clean, and requires extremely low amount of energy which keeps operational costs down. Safety sensors are mounted on the ramp's platform, drive chassis and under the platform safety pan which monitor the stairlift's path - if an obstruction is encountered the unit immediately stops.
